Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a care and rehabilitation facility in Decatur, AL to find a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT). This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate PT to play a vital role in helping patients regain their functional independence and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.

Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific goals, focusing on improving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and pain management.

Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and gait training.

Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Document treatment progress in patients' medical records and participate in care conferences.

Maintain a safe and patient-centered treatment environment.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.

Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of Alabama.

Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting (preferred).

Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to document effectively in medical records.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with patients with a variety of conditions, including neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, and geriatric conditions.

Proficient in various manual therapy techniques.

Experience with using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
