We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology law, intellectual property rights, contract negotiation, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:

 •  Provide legal guidance on various aspects of the law as it relates to the technology sector, including software licensing, data privacy, intellectual property, and cybersecurity.
 •  Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including software development agreements, partnership agreements, service agreements, and nondisclosure agreements.
 •  Advise on compliance with federal, state, and international laws and regulations affecting the technology industry.
 •  Work closely with the leadership team to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations, product development, and strategic initiatives.
 •  Manage litigation risks and oversee the work of external counsel as needed.
 •  Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the company’s business practices are in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
 •  Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its operations, providing actionable insights and strategies to navigate these changes.
 •  Support the company’s intellectual property strategy, including the protection of patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Qualifications
 •  Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
 •  Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
 •  Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in the technology sector or a related field.
 •  Strong understanding of the legal issues related to software development, data privacy, and intellectual property.
 •  Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
 •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
 •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to handling legal matters.
