The IT Support Technician Intern is an ideal position for a second- or third-year college student looking to gain some real-world exposure to IT. Under general supervision, diagnose and resolve technical and end-user problems in a customer service-oriented team environment.
Install, maintain, and support PC software, hardware, and peripherals running on local and wide area networks.

What are skills that would be helpful for a successful internship?
 •  Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our preferred majors currently taking core major classes.
 •  Familiarity with your major’s core concepts.
 •  Completion of foundational coursework related to your major.
 •  Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
 •  Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
 •  Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
 •  Ability to effectively problem solve.
 •  Must be able to traverse stairs and ladders at client sites.

What offices are we hiring for?
 •  Kennesaw, GA

Position Responsibilities:

 •  Configure, test, and deliver workstation and laptop computers and application software.
 •  Provide desktop and laptop hardware and software support for all ENERCON departments & associated offices.
 •  Research and troubleshoot end user problems/issues/requests.
 •  Create or update help desk tickets as issues are identified and resolved.
 •  Install VPN and other specialty software as required.
 •  Respond, as needed, to communications problems between workstation/laptops and the network.
 •  Diagnose and resolve printing problems.
 •  Assist with computer inventory issues.
 •  Assist with asset inventory.
 •  Help setup and support ENERCON hardware and software.
 •  Provide technical support to ENERCON staff in person and over the phone.
 •  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

 •  Working knowledge of MS Windows operating system, systems functionality, and troubleshooting.
 •  Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop hardware and software issues.
 •  Ability to interact effectively with other technical and non-technical resources.
 •  Ability to quickly establish comfortable and effective working relationships.
 •  Excellent organizational skills.
 •  Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
 •  High motivated, self-starter.
 •  Ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines.
 •  Understand the basics of information systems in an enterprise setting.
 •  Some knowledge of computer networking a plus

Employment Requirements:

 •  Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
 •  Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
