About Our Client
I'm working with the Controller and Director of Finance at an exciting and growing multi-million dollar beverage company located just south of Evanston, IL. They have been around for 10+ years and are experiencing highly acquisitive and organic growth through their partnerships with some of the best brands and individuals in their space!
Due to their growth, they are looking to bring on a Senior Staff Accountant to their growing team!
Job Description
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, including gathering data, analyzing trends, and preparing reports.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed, such as process improvements or system implementations.

The Successful Applicant
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• Manufacturing/Consumer Goods industry experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Net Suite experience a plus
• Ample written and verbal communication skills
• Strong MS Excel skills
