Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage SEC reporting for non-traded REIT in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
 •  Ensure that Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles are being adhered to for all financial reporting periods, financial presentations, and footnote disclosures.
 •  Monitor procedures and internal controls over SEC reporting process to ensure compliance with company policies and make recommendations for improvements.
 •  Coordination, preparation, review, and filing of financial statements and disclosures on Forms 10-Q, 10-K and other periodic SEC filings on a historical cost basis utilizing Workiva platform.
 •  Ensure the accuracy and consistency of SEC filings, as well as compliance with SEC rules over non-GAAP metrics.
 •  Determine the accounting and financial statement impacts due to significant transactions such as acquisitions, leases, and segment reporting to ensure accurate financial presentation.
 •  Review existing and proposed regulations of the FASB, SEC, and other authoritative bodies which may impact financial reporting requirements for the Company.
 •  Interpret new accounting principles and regulatory decisions to assess the financial statement impact and the implementation of accounting-related changes to ensure compliance.
 •  Review financial statement support and other supporting schedules provided by fund administrator and/or property manager for completeness and accuracy.
 •  Audit
 •  Work with auditors on reviews of SEC filings and technical accounting matters which may impact financial statements and disclosures.
 •  Manage audit deadlines including driving the timely completion of interim reviews and audit reports.
 •  Fund Administration
 •  Perform secondary review of certain critical deliverables prepared by the fund administrator, including incentive and management fee calculations, acquisition entries, and monthly NAV calculations.
 •  Serve as the subject matter expert for Fund financial reporting questions

Job Requirements:

 •  7 years of real estate accounting experience. Candidates from real estate private equity firms / non traded REITs / public REITs and well as Big 4 auditors with relevant industry experience will be considered.
 •  SEC reporting experience including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other transactional offerings.
 •  Knowledge of REIT rules and tax implications, a plus.
 •  Experience working with third-party fund administrators.
 •  Strong technical accounting skills will an emphasis on Historical Cost and “Fair value” basis of accounting for real estate.
 •  Experience with SEC reporting software.
