Title: EHS Manager

Duration: 0-5+ Months

Shift: 1st Shift (08:00 AM-05:00PM M-F)

Pay Rate: $53.94/Hour on W2.

Description:

Responsible for overseeing and implementing safety and environmental programs within an organization.

Designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.

Developing strategies to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.

Providing training programs to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and compliance regulations.

Ensuring that employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.

Staying abreast of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant laws and standards.

Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and maintaining incident records.

Developing and implementing emergency response plans.

Coordinating drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies.

Managing environmental programs to minimize the organization's impact on the environment.

This may include waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.

Working closely with various departments, management, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.

Several years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, with a proven track record of implementing successful safety programs.

Preferred experiences in food manufacturing already.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety information to employees and stakeholders.

Ability to analyse data, assess risks, and develop strategies for improving safety performance.

Strong leadership skills to drive a safety culture and work collaboratively with teams.
