Pay rate up to $76.92/hr

Job Summary:

As a Manager of Analytics within the Analytics and Data Science group, you will be responsible for surfacing data-driven opportunities for the business functions (Content, Marketing, Product, and/or New Growth/International).

The Analytics Manager will provide tactical, operational, economic, and financial analysis to frame and drive decisions, develop KPIs and scorecards to track initiative progress/performance, and scientific models to drive a focus on results and execution.

You are a "doer”, someone who can code at an excellent level, and likes to take ownership of data products or prototypes (being involved in the conception, design, specification, coding, testing, measurement, to presentation).

You will partner with engineering and data science to marketing and product management – and develop the knowledge and skill to be a trusted technical advisor across a wide range of business areas.

The successful individual will be able to work with minimal instruction and oversight, conduct multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintain relationships with senior leaders, and own deliverables end to end.

Critical to the success of this role is your ability to think intentionally, develop insightful analysis, communicate findings concisely to leadership, work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, and analyze big data.

Job Responsibilities:

Illustrate key business trends and drivers through effective problem framing, data analysis, interpretation, and visualization

Create well-designed management scorecards and dashboards that ensure accurate and robust reporting across key business/project/initiative metrics

Deliver impactful analysis based on robust economic, financial, and statistical analysis

Analytics Manager estimates the impact of different scenarios using robust analytical/financial models

Develop and validate methods to optimize the Who, When, Where, and How of all our interactions with customers, and demonstrate a good command of data science techniques that can be drawn upon in that context.

Develop an in-depth knowledge of all relevant data sources, business intelligence technologies, and analytical tools – know how to leverage all of our assets to answer senior executive questions fast

Develop compelling presentations and documents - and communicate them with impact and intuition.

Proactively communicate factors affecting deliverables to senior management

Explain assumptions and quantitative methodologies to colleagues in their and other teams

Job Requirements:

Self-motivated with the capacity to work under tight deadlines.

Passion for the accuracy, relevance, quality, and impact of deliverables. High attention to detail

Good written and oral communication/presentation skills

Ability to reconcile information from and for multiple stakeholders, and to manage communication across different audiences (technical vs. business, junior vs. senior)

Intellectual curiosity for what drives the business

Aptitude and drive to learn new tools quickly required

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Strategic Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Consulting in a digital environment or in a related field.

Quantitative degree (Sciences, Operations Research (OR), Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience in a data-driven/analytical role

Background in content/media, marketing tech, subscription business, and/or internet industries preferred - an understanding of e-commerce analytics, marketing analytics, experimentation, membership/loyalty analytics, and revenue management techniques a plus

Knowledge of data/analytical tools – Strong experience with SQL; experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Microstrategy; knowledge of statistics and modeling; experience with Python, R, Jupyter, and other analytics/data science tools

Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree (Science, Operations Research (OR), Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience in a data-driven/analytical role

Proficiency in Python, R, or other analytics/data science tools

Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills
