Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Focus on building the next generation model development and execution platform including data sourcing
Platform will leverage a host of interesting technologies including Spark and Hadoop and utilize a unique, user-configurable, workflow-driven, model execution approach
Review technical designs with the development team and ensure it meets the business partner requirements and is a scalable solution to meet longer term strategy
Perform data analysis as needed to design data models, data standardizations, data quality/integrity checks, etc.
Highlight critical issues / risks across the program and work with partners to identify solutions
Key contributor in Agile routines including sprint and capacity planning, prioritizing tasks for monthly releases, back-log maintenance
Review initial testing/analysis of implementation/results to ensure the accuracy of implementation
Provide support for business partners in required user acceptance testing
Identify and manage cross project or functional interdependencies skills
Understand business requirements and lead analysis and translation into technical requirements including budgeting and technical documentation
Requirements:
Familiarity with Python, RDBMS (Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server) knowledge for SQL code development
Basic Unix OS skills and Shell scripting; Agile methodology (hands on experience in Epic and Story writing)
Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication
Pay Range: $74.51 - $82.51
