Join our team as a Process Engineer at our Grottoes, VA Plant, where youll play a crucial role in supporting all technical aspects of production equipment. Youll be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met while driving improvements to enhance department profitability.
Your day-to-day will involve developing process methods and controls, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment issues, and providing technical leadership and training to resolve challenges effectively.

As a key member of our team, youll need to understand equipment operation thoroughly to identify preventive and predictive maintenance needs. Collaboration and communication are essential, as youll work closely with all team members to build positive relationships and foster a team mindset.
Your ability to communicate internally and externally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization will be paramount to success.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, youll assist in the development of capital authorizations, manage small to medium capital projects, and ensure compliance with documentation for processes, maintenance, safety, and environmental standards.
Youll also have the opportunity to lead or support new equipment, processes, and product trials, contributing to production start-up efforts.

This position offers a unique opportunity for growth and development, with an initial assignment based full-time in the Grottoes VA plant. Future assignments may involve domestic travel of up to 50% based on business needs. If youre a motivated individual with a BS in Engineering, 4+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, or similar software, and a passion for driving continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!

Must Haves:

 •  Bachelors degree in Engineering.
 •  5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing process engineering, including expertise in blown film and bag-making processes.
 •  Proficiency in advanced computer skills, including SAP, ERP systems, and relevant design software.
 •  Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical projects effectively.
 •  Openness to up to 50% of domestic travel.

Nice to Have:

 •  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
 •  Experience with statistical process control and data-driven decision-making.
 •  Previous involvement in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
