CTTX Health is currently looking for a compassionate and experienced Medical Psych Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Medical Psych RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with psychiatric conditions in a medical setting.

At CTTX Health, we are committed to delivering comprehensive and patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs. The Medical Psych RN will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients.
This includes administering medications, providing therapeutic interventions, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

Requirements

Requirements:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in psychiatric nursing.

BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Excellent clinical skills and ability to handle psychiatric emergencies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities.

Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Strong assessment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with psychiatric conditions.

Administer medications and provide therapeutic interventions.

Monitor and document changes in the patient's mental health status.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their mental health conditions and treatment options.

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and treatment planning.

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
