Tax Manager
The Tax Manager will work to ensure U.S. Tax Compliance is timely filed and meets local laws and regulations.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility for the timely and accurate filing of US and state corporate tax returns.
• Maintain tax filing calendar in Corptax and lead compliance workflow and staff assignments
• Assist with the review and preparation of workpapers and documentation to support tax filings to include preparation of 163J and BEAT calculations, Consolidated return eliminations, and 5472 forms.
• Strong state income tax return experience preferred to include, separate company and unitary returns.
• Assist with preparation of consolidated financial tax reporting and disclosures for interim and annual financial statements as needed
• Develop, document, maintain and improve tax reporting processes
• Perform research, analysis and business support on significant transactions
• Gather and review data and information using various internal reporting sources and software tools to support tax filings and substantiate audit positions.
• Develop a thorough working knowledge of the tax compliance software systems.
• Prepare and review financial analyses and monthly account reconciliations for tax accounts.
• Operate and maintain internal controls as designated by the Sr. Director NA Tax
• Implement new tax policies, strategies, and procedures to support tax and other cross-functional initiatives, as appropriate
• Mentor and provide training and support to tax staff
• Monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance developments and tax law changes, and documents its impact on the Company
• Support tax and other cross-functional initiatives, as appropriate
• Provide guidance to business operations on direct and indirect taxes.
• Assist the Tax Director in working within finance and other groups to provide technical support and research for various tax planning projects, including business expansions, rationalization and integration/restructuring of acquisitions
• Assist with development and implementation of global transfer pricing strategies and documentation as well as intercompany cost allocations
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
Education and Skillset:
• Bachelor’s in University Law, Accounting or Economics, Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred
• MBA / CPA a plus
• 7 - 10 years+ experience
• Strong written communication and organizational skills
• Deadline focused
• Ability to build and maintain relationships within the Organization including Accounting and Finance, Legal, Development, Sales and Marketing.
• Possess the ability to lead and mentor other team members as needed
• Demonstrated analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
• Strong excel skills
• Experience with CorpTax and FAS Depreciation Software
• SAP preferred
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
