Location: Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving (CEODD), Panama City, FL

First Division Consulting is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to provide vital support in support of (ISO) of Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD)/ Navy Diver (ND) Accessions and Career Long Learning Continuum (CLLC) Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) processes.
The successful candidate will play an essential role in developing and maintaining technical documentation related to the EOD and ND rates and fulfilling CEODD administrative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce Navy technical publications, manuals, policies, instructions, and forms relevant to the EOD and ND rates and CEODD administrative needs. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather and refine technical information.

Format, draft, and submit official memorandums, letters, and instructions in compliance with the Navy Correspondence Manual.

Exhibit proficiency in writing and editing formal correspondence, ensuring clarity, coherence, and conformity to Navy standards.

Understand and adeptly use Navy terminology in all written communications.

Design and develop digitally delivered forms, Personnel Qualification Standards (PQS), Job Qualification Requirements (JQR), Grading, Testing, and Student control forms.

Skillfully use virtual collaborative tools, especially the Microsoft Office Home suite of applications, Adobe products, and other common software to achieve objectives.

Requirements

US Citizenship is required.

Secret Clerance is required.

Experience:

Proven background in technical writing, preferably within a Navy or DOD setting.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in writing, editing, and formatting. Knowledge of Navy terminology is essential.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Home suite, Adobe products, and other standard technical writing software.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

Desirable Traits:

Attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate with various teams and Subject Matter Experts.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Knowledge of Navy rates, especially EOD and ND.
