About Our Client

Our client is a well-established New York City developer with an in-house general contracting arm who is seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee a ground-up affordable housing project in Brooklyn. This firm has a strong pipeline of projects and specializes in delivering high-quality affordable housing across NYC.

Job Description

The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee all phases of ground-up construction on-site
  • Manage subcontractors, site staff, and daily operations
  • Maintain and enforce site safety in compliance with NYC regulations
  • Develop and manage project schedules and sequencing
  • Coordinate inspections, permits, and city agency requirements
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications
  • Work closely with Project Managers, ownership, and stakeholders
  • Drive project milestones and proactively resolve field issues

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Superintendent should have:

  • 10+ years of construction experience, with significant ground-up experience
  • Prior experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent
  • Required: NYCHA PACT or HPD project experience
  • Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, safety standards, and union labor
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-family construction projects
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
