About Our Client
Our client is a well-established New York City developer with an in-house general contracting arm who is seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee a ground-up affordable housing project in Brooklyn. This firm has a strong pipeline of projects and specializes in delivering high-quality affordable housing across NYC.
Job Description
The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee all phases of ground-up construction on-site
- Manage subcontractors, site staff, and daily operations
- Maintain and enforce site safety in compliance with NYC regulations
- Develop and manage project schedules and sequencing
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and city agency requirements
- Ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications
- Work closely with Project Managers, ownership, and stakeholders
- Drive project milestones and proactively resolve field issues

The Successful Applicant
A successful Lead Superintendent should have:
- 10+ years of construction experience, with significant ground-up experience
- Prior experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent
- Required: NYCHA PACT or HPD project experience
- Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, safety standards, and union labor
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-family construction projects
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Competitive salary ranging from $230,000 to $260,000 USD.
