Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania
Start Date: September 21, 2026Location: Northeastern Pennsylvania

Schedule: 36-hour orientation followed by standard assignment. Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Block scheduling not available. Approximately 12 weekend shifts per contract.
Highlights:
- Level IV trauma center emergency department with 34 rooms and 35 beds, averaging 100 visits daily
- Diverse patient population including all age groups from neonates through geriatrics
- EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, radiology, and physical therapy
- Primary diagnoses include stroke, STEMI/MI, psychiatric emergencies, sepsis, and trauma
- First-time travelers accepted with comprehensive orientation and clinical support
- One pre-approved time off period available per contract
Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Experience with patient ratios up to 1:7 required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (all required)
- EPIC charting system experience strongly preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred; community hospital experience preferred
- Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background clearance required (must be completed within specific timeframes)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Valid professional references and certification documentation required
