Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

About Our Client

Our client is a top general contractor located in Indianapolis, their primary project focus is on commercial, education and healthcare construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking experienced and driven construction project engineers to help lead multiple projects across the Indianapolis area in tandem with their top-tier Project Manager staff.

• Contacting subcontractors and vendors during bid process
• Project scope of work development
• Assisting with project documentation - RFIs, submittals, change orders
• Subcontractor and superintendent coordination on projects
• Travel to job sites as required by PM and/or superintendents
• Support PM staff on budget, scheduling, and overall project coordination efforts

• 1-5 years of experience working with general contractors
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Manage administrative construction duties, including document control
• Prepare submittal schedules for approval and distribution
• Assist the Project Manager with change orders, subcontractor scheduling and invoicing, reviewing monthly job costs
• Assist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operations
• Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification
• Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists
