Speech Language Pathologist – School Setting

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to support students within a PK–5 educational setting in the Cortez, Colorado area. This opportunity is ideal for an SLP passionate about helping children develop communication and language skills in a collaborative school environment.

The selected candidate will manage a diverse caseload while partnering with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech-language therapy services for school-aged students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Maintain accurate student documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning
• Support students with speech, language, communication, and related developmental needs
• Manage caseloads across assigned school sites

• Active Colorado SLP license through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) required at time of submission
• Previous school-based or pediatric speech therapy experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage varying student needs and caseload priorities
• Experience working collaboratively within educational teams
