Maintenance Technician
Direct Hire Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician (12-Hour Day Shift)
For a manufacturing client in the Sun Prairie, Wisconsin area, Adecco is seeking a DIRECT HIRE Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a 12-hour day shift role. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position participates in all phases of production and facilities repairs & maintenance and supports both emergency and scheduled activities.The technician will work on production equipment, building systems, and facility upkeep, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC work. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, interpret technical documentation, and communicate effectively with internal customers and other shifts.
The position also involves adherence to OSHA safety and Health rules and participation in 6S and lean activities.
Benefits- Hourly pay is $24-27 or more based on experience, reflecting required troubleshooting responsibilities and multi-discipline maintenance duties in production and facility environments.
- Work is organized in 12 hour 6a-6p shifts rotating 2-2-3 pitman schedule supporting predictable scheduling and extended time off patterns across the month.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to production equipment during and after production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service, ensuring reliable operation throughout assigned areas.
- Perform maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, using appropriate tools, methods, and documentation.
- Conduct maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems, including diagnosing failures, replacing components, and performing preventive tasks to maintain building and production support functions.
- Disassemble obsolete equipment and install new equipment, following equipment manuals, work order instructions, and safety procedures during removal, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work order to perform required maintenance and service, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed according to technical and safety requirements.
- Perform Snow removal, facility painting and refreshing as needed to maintain safe exterior conditions and a clean, functional internal production and office environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety and Health rules as well as other governmental regulations, consistently applying required procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and reporting requirements.
- Discuss project specifications with the next shift at shift change and communicate status, progress and schedules to all internal customers to support continuity of operations.
- Participate in meetings as required and participate in and recommend process improvements, and participate in, support and drive 6S and lean activities throughout the organization.
- The position requires One year of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing and HVAC problems and recommending and performing appropriate repairs, preferably in a production or facilities maintenance setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work well with others in a team environment and to collaborate effectively with internal customers and other shifts.
- Working knowledge of PLC’s and the Ability to read and understand schematics are required to support troubleshooting, repair planning, and safe execution of electrical and control-related tasks.
- Ability to work independently with little or no instruction and Problem analysis and problem resolution abilities are essential to manage emergency/unscheduled repairs and prioritize multiple maintenance demands.
- Language skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret various types of correspondence. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and employees. Ability to effectively present information to customers and management in both written and verbal formats.
- Mathematical skills: Mathematical skills: Ability to read dimensions and perform calculations of measurements, supporting accurate parts fabrication, installation alignment, and verification of equipment settings.
- Reasoning ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, applying these reasoning skills during troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvement work.
- Ability to ensure that tight deadlines are met, including responding to breakdowns during and after production, while maintaining required safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
