SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician Role at Wisconsin Built, Inc. will have responsibility for performing various duties including (but not limited to), the repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, building and facilities. This Role will need a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication and electrical repair.

ACTIVITIES
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facilitys equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple/basic machinist type duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Regular preventive maintenance duties on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Wide variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Utilization of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Experience with electrical schematics.
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform routing housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include various hand and power tools, metal fabrication equipment, welding equipment, plumbing equipment, and various measuring equipment.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance as may be acquired in three years formalized program including schematics and interpretation plus up to three years extensive experience.
  • Prefer a degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance, etc. and/or having equivalent applicable work experience is acceptable.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.
  • Self-motivated and attention to detail.
