**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Leasing Consultant with experience in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for helping individuals and families find their ideal living space.This role is integral to maintaining the highest occupancy rates and ensuring resident satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Greet prospective residents and conduct property tours to showcase available apartments.
- Responsible for understanding and effectively communicating LIHTC requirements to potential residents.
- Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and verify income to ensure compliance with LIHTC regulations.
- Prepare leases and ensure all documents are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of the local housing market and communicate this information to prospective tenants.
- Address tenant queries and resolve any issues that may arise during the leasing process.
- Collaborate with property management staff to ensure smooth property operations and resident satisfaction.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including online postings and community outreach, to attract qualified applicants.
- Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies at all times.
- Previous experience as a Leasing Consultant, particularly in LIHTC properties, is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of LIHTC program guidelines and requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in a related field preferred.
