Our client is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (Tool Room) to lead frontline operations in a fast‑paced, medium‑to‑high‑volume production environment. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities, ensuring production goals are met, and developing team members through coaching, mentoring, and servant‑leadership practices.
The ideal candidate thrives in a structured manufacturing setting and is comfortable working in a unionized environment.

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 3:00PM–1:00AM
Please Note:
- Bonus: 5% metric‑based bonus
- Shift Differential: $500/month ($6,000/year)
Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns.
- Maintain and update the team training matrix to ensure compliance.
- Establish annual goals and objectives aligned with operational metrics.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive culture aligned with servant‑leadership principles.
- Interface with union stewards regarding contract interpretation and discipline issues.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development to team leaders and production staff.
- Support basic process control, production scheduling, and lean manufacturing practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and waste‑reduction activities.
- Ensure all team members receive proper training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S.
- Lead and support production team members to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- All education levels will be considered; equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.
- Experience ensuring training compliance, including safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a medium/high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated servant‑leadership mindset with proven coaching, mentoring, and team‑development experience.
- Experience working in a unionized environment, including interfacing with union stewards on contract and discipline matters.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations.
- Background in fabrication, metal stamping, machining, or welding.
- Familiarity with process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and perform manual tasks.
