Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry with Behavioral Health position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a behavioral health component
- Patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
- No on-call required
- Block scheduling not available
- Charts in Epic (experience required)
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
- Scrub color: royal blue and white
- Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- This is a night shift position — travelers may extend up to twice before needing to be away for 6 months before returning
- RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days
- Only 1 holiday request can be approved per assignment
