Job Description
As a DOB Superintendent - Construction - Queens, you will be responsible for:
- Serving as the licensed DOB Superintendent on assigned projects
- Managing all day-to-day field operations from groundbreaking through completion
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and ensuring milestone completion
- Enforcing safety procedures and conducting daily site safety meetings
- Ensuring compliance with NYC DOB regulations and building codes
- Coordinating inspections and agency requirements
- Reviewing construction drawings and project specifications
- Managing site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout construction
- Working closely with Project Managers, ownership teams, and consultants
- Maintaining daily reports and project documentation
- Supporting project closeout and turnover activities

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Active NYC DOB Superintendent License
- OSHA 30 Certification
- 7+ years of Superintendent experience within construction
- Experience managing affordable housing, multifamily, or mixed-use projects
- Strong knowledge of NYC DOB regulations and building codes
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent scheduling and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of delivering projects safely and on schedule
- Competitive base salary: $140,000 - $210,000+
