Job Description
As a Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all on-site construction activities from start to finish
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
- Coordinating commercial fit-outs and residential renovations
- Conducting daily safety meetings and enforcing OSHA standards
- Reviewing plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Managing site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination
- Monitoring project quality and ensuring work meets specifications
- Coordinating inspections and resolving field issues
- Working closely with Project Managers, architects, and clients
- Maintaining daily reports and project documentation
- Supporting project turnover and closeout activities

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Experience managing both commercial and residential interior projects
- Strong knowledge of interior construction methods and sequencing
- Experience with office build-outs, retail renovations, luxury apartments, brownstones, or penthouses
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong scheduling and subcontractor management skills
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience working in occupied buildings is a plus
- Competitive base salary: $140,000 - $190,000+
