Master HVAC Technician with Security Clearance

A top employer in the government facilities / mission‑critical infrastructure industry is looking for a Master HVAC Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable, compliant, and secure HVAC/R systems that support sensitive federal operations.
The technician will play a critical role in ensuring proper climate control, equipment uptime, and overall facility readiness within a secure, high‑visibility environment.
Some responsibilities of the Master HVAC Technician will include but are not limited to:- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC/R systems including air handlers, split systems, rooftop units, chillers, and CRAC units
- Performing preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM guidelines and contract requirements
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues using gauges, meters, and multimeters
- Recovering, evacuating, and recharging refrigerant systems in compliance with EPA Section 608
- Monitoring and responding to alarms through BAS/DDC systems
- Documenting service activities, parts usage, and work orders in a CMMS
- Supporting HVAC equipment installation, commissioning, and control upgrades
- Collaborating with onsite staff to resolve system performance issues
- Adhering to OSHA, NEC, EPA, and mechanical code standards
- Performing limited general facility maintenance tasks as needed (non‑HVAC related)
