Responsibilities:
- As an Associate Scientist II, you will be responsible for testing samples and reporting data for Large Molecule/Biologics product development and stability studies
- Execute Laboratory Testing: Perform analytical techniques including UV-Vis, Karl Fischer, and Compendial assays (pH, Osmolality, Viscosity)
- Advanced Chromatography: Utilize HPLC/UPLC techniques (SEC, IEX, RP-HPLC) and peptide mapping
- Biophysical Characterization: Gain exposure to aggregation techniques (MFI, AUC) and Electrophoresis (CE-SDS, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot)
- Compliance: Follow SOPs and cGMP requirements for legible, accurate, and thorough documentation
- Documentation: Support the drafting of simple methods, method forms, and result reports
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Physical Science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.).
- Experience: No prior work experience required! This is an ideal role for recent graduates
- Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of scientific principles, excellent verbal/written communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure
- Mindset: High attention to detail and a commitment to laboratory safety and ethical practices
- Setting: Professional On-site Laboratory.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long hours (>90% of work time)
- PPE: Steel-toe shoes are required (Light Industrial environment)
- Compliance: Must pass drug test and background screenings prior to start
