Licensed Real Estate Salesperson - Part-Time to Full-Time Path, NY
You got licensed. You're not naive enough to think you can walk away from a paycheck to chase commission checks that might not show up for four months. So the license sits there half-used, or you're grinding nights and weekends without a real plan, wondering if this is ever going to turn into something.
Here's what nobody tells people in your position: you don't need to quit your job to start building a real estate business. You need a system that works when you only have ten or fifteen hours a week to give it.
That's what we run at Keller Williams Greater Nassau. Agents build their book of business here on evenings, weekends, and lunch breaks all the time, using the same lead generation and database models our full-time agents use, just scaled to the hours they actually have.No pressure to quit anything on day one. No pretending you have more time than you do. Just a plan that turns part-time effort into a real pipeline, so that when the numbers say you're ready to go full-time, the decision makes itself.
If you're licensed in New York and working another job while you figure out how serious real estate could become for you, this is built for exactly that.
Tasks
Build a real estate business part-time using a lead generation and database plan designed for limited hours, not a full-time schedule. List and sell residential real estate throughout Nassau County and the surrounding Long Island market around your existing work commitments.Use KW Command to manage your database and follow-up efficiently, so the hours you have go toward the highest-value activity. Work with a mentor to set a real benchmark for when your business can support a full-time transition. Guide buyers and sellers through their transactions with the same standard of service as a full-time agent.
Negotiate offers and represent your clients' interests in every deal, on a schedule built around evenings, weekends, or whatever time you have available.

Based on Long Island or willing to work the Nassau County market.
Benefits
A part-time onramp built around evenings, weekends, and whatever hours you actually have, not a schedule that assumes you're already full-time. Access to Keller Williams' training and lead generation systems, adapted so a limited number of hours still moves your business forward instead of just keeping you busy.KW Command to manage your database and leads efficiently, so the time you do have goes toward the highest-value work. Mentorship from agents who made this exact transition, from part-time to full-time, and can tell you what actually mattered and what didn't.
A local leadership team in Garden City that will help you set a real benchmark for when it makes sense to go full-time, instead of guessing. No pressure and no shame in building this at your own pace. Plenty of our full-time agents started exactly where you are now.
Compensation is commission-based, same structure whether you're part-time or full-time, with details laid out once we talk.
