Travel Nurse (Med/Surg RN) – 13-week nights in Tyler, TX. Seeking an experienced Med/Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) with Epic charting to join a modern medical-surgical/telemetry unit caring for diverse adult patients. - Setting: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit (2 South)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Weekend Coverage: Half of scheduled shifts
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nurse experience)
- Travel nursing experience required — previous travel nurse assignments preferred
- Epic charting / Epic EMR experience required
- Active RN license
- Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS
- Clinical skills: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care, IV and port management, rapid response/code team participation
- Applications restricted by local residency: Applicants must not reside in the following counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Continuously monitor and manage telemetry patients; interpret and respond to dysrhythmias
- Administer medications and blood products; manage IVs, ports, and feeding tubes
- Perform wound care, phlebotomy, and assist with pre/post neurosurgery and renal failure management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
- Participate actively on rapid response/code teams and maintain isolation precautions/PPE as required
