Travel Nursing Job Details- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650 - $2,790
- Location: Lamar, CO 81052 — southeastern Colorado travel nursing opportunity
- Setting: New Beginnings Birth Center – Obstetrics Unit (Labor & Delivery)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel, Full-Time (Travel RN / L&D RN)
- Current Colorado RN license (required for this Lamar, CO travel nursing job)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS (must obtain within one year of employment)
- Minimum 1 year of obstetrics or labor & delivery experience (4 years preferred)
- Knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care essentials (OB nurse / maternity nurse skills)
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress clinical situations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with the multidisciplinary birth center team
- Provide direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Perform assessments, monitor labor progress, and prepare for C-sections and inductions
- Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
- Administer care during labor, delivery, and postpartum including infant care, lactation support, and patient education
- Prepare delivery rooms, assist with procedures, and provide emotional support to patients and families
- Coordinate patient transfers and collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the Birth Center Manager
- Administer IV medications, follow medication safety protocols, and adhere to infection control principles
- Maintain competency in neonatal resuscitation and emergency obstetric interventions
