Senior Project Manager — Texas (Preferred: Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio)
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) leads the full lifecycle of commercial electrical construction projects—from initial bid through completion and closeout. This role oversees project planning, contract negotiations, field execution, financial performance, schedule management, and stakeholder communication.
Texas residency REQUIRED (Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, or San Antonio preferred, otherwise - travel).
Role Overview
The SPM ensures projects meet client requirements for functionality, quality, cost, and schedule. This role directs project administrators, Superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors, while serving as the primary liaison between CLIENT, contractors, and all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction & Bidding- Lead bid preparation, distribute bid documents, manage bidder questions, and issue addenda.
- Evaluate bids, negotiate with selected contractors, and support contract execution.
- Establish project scope, schedule expectations, budget parameters, and performance standards.
- Oversee all construction activities to ensure alignment with design plans, quality standards, and project milestones.
- Direct and support Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Monitor progress, address emerging issues, and adjust sequencing as needed.
- Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and cost impacts due to design changes, delays, or unforeseen conditions.
- Ensure proper permitting, licensing, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate contractor selection and oversee contractor performance.
- Review and approve material sourcing, procurement, and site logistics.
- Manage project budget, cost tracking, labor allocation, and financial reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports, cost summaries, and quality records.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with CLIENT policies, OSHA requirements, and site safety plans.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications.
- Enforce site safety rules and ensure subcontractors follow mandated protocols.
- Maintain positive relationships with inspectors, ensuring timely inspections and resolutions of any deficiencies.

Work Environment

Education & Qualifications- High School Diploma required
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and commercial electrical projects
