Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment at a 332-bed teaching, short-term acute care hospital. The Cath Lab Tech will assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac catheterization laboratory experience, be comfortable working with advanced cardiac equipment, and support patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other interventional cardiac procedures.
- Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and sterile procedure areas.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms during procedures.
- Administer contrast media and assist with imaging as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the Cath Lab team to provide optimal patient care.
- Participate in on-call coverage for evenings and weekends as required.
- Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab Tech experience required (2 years preferred).
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment.
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist) – Preferred
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) – Preferred
