About Our Client

A well-established Florida general contractor is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to its team in the West Palm Beach area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional who wants to take the next step toward becoming a Project Manager. You'll work alongside experienced project leadership and gain hands-on exposure to the full construction lifecycle, from preconstruction and buyout through execution and closeout.

The contractor has a long-standing presence in Palm Beach and works across commercial markets including retail and mixed-use, healthcare/senior living, office, and industrial construction.

Job Description

Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project execution
Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and field teams
Help monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking
Participate in subcontractor buyout and scope review
Attend project and owner meetings and assist with meeting documentation
Track long-lead materials and procurement schedules
Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation
Work closely with Superintendents to ensure office and field teams remain aligned

The Successful Applicant

1-4+ years of experience in commercial construction, ideally with a general contractor
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field preferred
Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor coordination
Familiarity with platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
Based in or able to commute to the West Palm Beach / Palm Beach County area
