Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulating RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and a minimum of 3 years of OR experience.
Details- Located within a hospital Operating Room setting in Southeast Alaska
- Handles a wide variety of elective and emergency surgical cases including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN
- Role is focused on circulating nurse responsibilities
- Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour shifts, plus after-hours call coverage
- After-hours call is utilized to staff the OR for nights, holidays, and weekends
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of consideration
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing)
- Experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or rural operating room setting strongly preferred
- Flu vaccine is required for this position
- Fingerprinting is required upon acceptance — candidates should schedule an appointment and mail fingerprint cards promptly, as the start date will be no earlier than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing
- Candidate must efficiently multi-task to ensure surgical cases proceed in a timely manner throughout the day
