Responsibilities-Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses-Work with S-Corporations, Partnerships, Schedule C businesses, and individual taxpayers-Review client financial information and supporting documentation-Conduct client interviews and gather information necessary for tax return preparation-Assist with tax planning and tax-saving strategies-Provide bookkeeping support and account reconciliations as needed-Prepare financial statements for clients-Assist with payroll-related services when necessary-Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for assigned clients-Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax matters and filing requirements-Support a variety of client accounting and consulting needs throughout tax season
Qualifications-Previous tax preparation experience required-Experience preparing tax returns for small businesses and individuals-Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations-Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA, EA, or equivalent tax experience welcomed-2+ years of public accounting tax experience-Experience with bookkeeping and financial statement preparation-QuickBooks experience-Ability to step into client work with minimal supervision-Experience managing client relationships directly
