Sterile Processing Technician - Modesto, CA

Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 8 Hours/Day (40 Hours/Week)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services by ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and maintained. This role is critical in upholding patient safety, infection control standards, and overall operational efficiency within a healthcare setting.

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments in accordance with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer instructions for use (IFUs)
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble complex surgical instruments and equipment
• Accurately assemble and package instrument trays following established guidelines
• Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and washer disinfectors
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage; report and escalate issues as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory records
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of sterile processing supplies
• Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of sterilization equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Complete daily documentation and utilize computer-based tracking systems

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on sterile processing experience
• Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST, CIS, or equivalent)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and tracking systems
