About Our Client
Our partner is a St. Paul-based General Contractor and Design/Build firm that launched their Indianapolis market about 18 months ago, already securing multiple projects through a strong local partnership. They focus on commercial work-primarily retail-with projects averaging $15-$20M, offering the chance to join a growing team backed by a solid backlog and the resources of an established contractor.
Job Description- Lead ground-up commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance
- Oversee subcontractor selection, contracts, and on-site coordination
- Drive project timelines to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to align expectations
- Review drawings/specs and proactively resolve design or constructability issues
- Monitor jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance standards
- Track and manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Provide regular project updates, reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Mentor and support field teams to ensure successful project execution

The Successful Applicant- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction
- Proven experience leading ground-up commercial projects, ideally $15M+
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and project controls
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and on-site teams
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control processes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Strong communication and leadership skills for client and team collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with commercial construction software and project documentation systems
