Job Description
Price Industries Inc. is on the search for an hourly Electrical Maintenance Technician for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, GA.
Qualifications
To be successful as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you should have a passion for understanding how things work and have sharp senses that help you locate minor faults quickly.
Electrical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance tasks to support safe and efficient plant operations.Read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and written work instructions.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems, including building wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, disconnects, lighting, and power distribution systems.
Perform electrical wiring modifications and upgrades within the facility in accordance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment and ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures are followed.
Support equipment installations by routing, terminating, and labeling electrical wiring and conduit as required.
Inspect facility electrical systems to identify safety concerns, code compliance issues, or opportunities for improvement.
Demonstrate welding proficiency across common materials to support equipment repair and fabrication needs.
Support Continuous Improvement needs in areas of fabrication
Able to use most equipment found in a machine shop including but not limited to Lathes, Milling Machines, ban saws, oxy-acetylene torch, grinders, most hand tools
Capable of using most measuring instruments
Fabricate guarding for plant equipment
Work closely with CI Manager and Safety Manager to assist in auditing equipment
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed
Fork Truck driving, use of scissor lifts and boom lifts is required; experience is recommended
Modifying of equipment, carts, tools, or anything pertaining to manufacturing as needed
Assisting the Maintenance manager on a as needed basis which includes but not limited to Preventative Maintenance activities
General clean-up activities
Must be able to read and speak English
Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and lift 50 pounds on occasion
Must be available for Monday through Friday shift work and overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, extreme cold and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
