Pharmacy Technician
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for a Pharmacy Technician for our client in Katy, TX!
Type: 3-month contract, with potential for extension or a full time offerPay: $22.65 to $25.65/hr
Location: Onsite in Katy, TX
Schedule: Alternating weeks
- Week one will be opening from 8am to 5pm.
- Week two will be closing from 11am to 8:30pm.
- And every other weekend 8am to 5pm.
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:
- Picking, labeling, scanning and otherwise preparing the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist
- Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
- Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume times
- Packages materials and products manually
- Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)
- Applies labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy check
- Alerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
- Maintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies needed
Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
- Ability to work at a moderate speed
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Possess and Maintain a Clear and Active TX Pharmacy Technician License issued by TX Board of Pharmacy
- May need to lift up to 25 pounds
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the shift.
