Roadway Construction Estimator / Project Manager
Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Manager in Fairport, NY, to manage project lifecycles from bid to execution. This role requires 7+ years of experience in asphalt or concrete estimating, with a preference for candidates bringing a transferable book of business.
You will oversee complex bids, coordinate with operations, and mentor junior staff to ensure regional profitability.

responsibilities:
- Bid Management: Evaluate project specifications and prepare comprehensive quote packages, ensuring strict adherence to margin targets and historical cost data.
- Project Coordination: Partner with operations teams to oversee scheduling, implementation, and quality control of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Client & Relationship Development: Maintain and expand a pipeline of projects by nurturing relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and public/private stakeholders.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor job progress, manage change orders, and conduct root cause analysis on budget variances to ensure project profitability and timely invoicing.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Serve as a technical advisor and coach to junior Estimators and Project Managers, providing guidance on value engineering and complex bid reviews.
