Sr. Social Media Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to lead how Dairy West shows up in culture, conversations, and everyday moments. This is not just a post and report role. It’s about shaping a social presence that is fun, human, and genuinely useful for consumers.
You’ll translate our brand voice into content that helps families feel confident about dairy in real life, from farmer stories to product inspiration and community engagement. You’ll be responsible for strong social strategy, efficient execution, and effective performance and optimization across platforms, building a system that balances consistency with creativity.
This position sits within Marketing and Communications and closely collaborates with colleagues across Nutrition Partnerships, Industry Relations, Business Development, and Research & Innovation functional areas and can work with external creative partners, photographers, videographers, and/or agencies when needed.The ideal candidate combines strong social acumen with content creation capabilities across social platforms.
This is a full-time, hybrid position, with in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our Tigard, OR office.
Salary Range 73k – 115k

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Social Strategy- Own and evolve Dairy West’s social media strategy across all priority platforms, ensuring alignment with brand, marketing, PR, and business objectives.
- Lead channel planning, audience development, and editorial direction across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels
- Identify emerging platform trends, creator strategies, and audience behaviors to keep the brand culturally relevant.
- Lead social support for major campaigns, events, launches, partnerships, and cultural moments.
- Identify and develop creator, influencer, and partnership opportunities that align with Dairy West’s brand and audience priorities.
- Lead the creation of platform-native content including short-form video, photography, graphics, motion assets, written posts, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
- Oversee editorial calendars and content pipelines to maintain consistent publishing across channels.
- Ensure creative quality standards in social copywriting, visual storytelling, thumbnails, video editing, and brand voice consistency.
- Collaborate across teams on recurring content series, campaigns, and audience-first storytelling initiatives that drive engagement and loyalty.
- Adapt trends, cultural conversations, and audience behaviors into timely content opportunities relevant to our audience and Dairy West.
- Partner with nutrition, business development, innovation and industry relation teams to bring integrated narratives to life
- Ensure legal compliance for content elements
- Set-up, monitor and analyze social performance metrics including engagement, reach, watch time, referral traffic, audience growth, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Use analytics, SEO/GSO best practices, and social listening insights to optimize content performance and channel strategy.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of audience sentiment, competitor activity, industry trends, and platform changes.
- Translate performance data into actionable recommendations that improve campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.
- Test and refine content formats, posting strategies, paid social campaigns, and publishing approaches based on performance insights.
- Develop reporting framework and performance summaries that communicate results, learnings, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
- Own day-to-day social operations, publishing workflows, campaign executions, and community engagement.
- Manage editorial systems, content calendars, approval processes, and production timelines to ensure efficient execution.
- Support live event coverage, real-time publishing, and on-site social activation as needed.
- Maintain strong organizational standards around brand consistency, quality control, and operational excellence.

- Ability to attend events occasionally outside of core business hours.
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, digital marketing, or audience development.
- Proven experience managing multi-platform social campaigns and growing audience engagement for consumer-facing brands.
- Strong understanding of platform best practices across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Skilled in social content production including video editing, photography, copywriting, and creative direction.
- Proficiency with social management and analytics tools.
- Experience working with agencies, or cross-functional collaborators.
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to balance creative execution with data-driven decision making.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments with multiple priorities, quick timelines, and evolving platform trends.
