Senior System Safety Engineer Onsite Littleton
We are looking for a Senior System Safety Engineer for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will serve as the program's senior System Safety subject matter expert by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating hardware and software hazards to ensure mission success and regulatory compliance.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.- Serve as a senior Program System Safety Engineering subject matter expert, focusing on safety requirements and safety hazard analysis.
- You will use your system safety experience to evaluate hardware and software ensuring mission success.
- As an SSE, your responsibilities will also include but not limited to the following tasks:
- Support the development and updating of System Safety documents to support Customer, Range Safety, and contractual requirements
- Review and provide input to test procedures for adherence to System Safety requirements
- Coordinate with test range safety teams and writing range safety reports to support testing
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a Hazard Tracking System (HTS) used to document real and potential hazards and their mitigation strategy for the program.
- This position will help support some IRAD/Capture Activities
- This position has the potential need to support various software safety activities.
- Be a vocal safety leader and provide feedback. and status to customers/program on safety status.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S Citizen and should have ablity to obtain a Security Clearance.
- 6+ years of experience as a System Safety Engineer.
- Experience working in System Safety Working Groups - SSWG, WSESRB, SSSTRP, etc.
- Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional
- Experience in Hazard Analyses (FHAs), System Hazard Analyses (SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)
- Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills(demonstrated).
- Ability to interface with Customer and Program Management.
- Experience building and communicating a safety case for re-design/risk acceptance.
- Requirements Management and Development Experience, to include DOORS
- Bachelor's Degree.

Compensation: $98/hr - $108/hr
