Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for Medical Assistant for our client in Fort Worth, TX!

Type: 3-month contract, with potential for extension or a full-time offer
Pay: $22 to $24/hr
Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday

Responsibilities for the Medical Assistant:

  • Perform all duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
  • Support physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), and nurses in patient care.
  • Prepare and room patients according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with patient examinations and perform patient-focused clinical procedures.
  • Administer medications within MA scope of practice (excluding intravenous medications).
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and perform EKGs (without interpreting results).
  • Collect specimens using noninvasive techniques and perform venipuncture for blood collection.
  • Change wound dressings and obtain cultures as directed.
  • Perform quality control checks on clinical equipment.
  • Accurately document patient care in the medical record in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient care in accordance with provider direction, company standards, and policies.
  • Conduct telephone and in-person patient intake and information gathering.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide courteous, respectful service.
  • Clean, stock, and organize exam and treatment rooms.
  • Follow standard infection control and safety protocols.
  • Support and comply with Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

  • Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Phlebotomy skills and experience with venipuncture.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
