My client is a specialized provider of temperature‑controlled packaging and cold chain solutions for industries that handle highly sensitive products. It supports customers whose goods require strict thermal control throughout storage and transportation to preserve quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Operating at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, the company designs and produces insulated shipping systems, refrigerants, and monitoring technologies used primarily in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food, and other regulated sectors.Its work plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity from point of origin to final destination.
Job Description
The Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Manager are:
- Lead and manage production operations across manufacturing, assembly, and packaging functions to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery schedules
- Develop and execute production plans while optimizing labor, equipment utilization, and material flow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP, safety standards)
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including output, scrap, downtime, and on‑time delivery
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to support new product introductions and process improvements
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Support capital planning, equipment selection, and process validation efforts
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment through strong adherence to safety and housekeeping standards

The Successful Applicant
The successful Manufacturing Manager will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or 10+ years of Production Management experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in packaging, plastics, chemicals, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
- Proven experience managing teams in a production‑focused, hands‑on environment
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and performance metrics
- Experience working with quality systems and audits (ISO, GMP, or similar)
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools
