About Our Client

Our client is a well-established engineering firm in the T&D space with a strong reputation for delivering complex transmission projects. They have a consistent backlog of work and long-term utility partnerships, providing stability while still offering exposure to technically challenging projects.

Join a high-performing T&D team supporting large-scale transmission line projects (230kV-500kV) across multi-state regions. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle-from routing and modeling through construction support-working alongside substation, civil, and environmental groups.

Job Description

Projects:

  • Large-scale transmission projects (230kV-500kV) across multi-state corridors
  • 50-150+ mile line designs tied to grid expansion & reliability
  • Projects with real visibility-these aren't sitting on a shelf

Day to Day:

  • Modeling & design using PLS-CADD (routing, sag/tension, structure spotting)
  • Coordinating with substation, civil, and environmental teams
  • Getting exposure to the full lifecycle-not just one slice of the work
  • Optional field involvement (if you want it-not forced)

Why this role:

  • Get out of repetitive, siloed design work
  • Faster track to PE + technical leadership
  • Work on bigger voltage + more complex projects
  • Backlog is strong (projects secured well into the future)
