Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of one year of ER experience, AHA certifications, and an AL or compact RN license.
Details- High-acuity, high-volume combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4
- Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, IV starts, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, and ortho-trauma
- Pediatric-specific skills required include identifying and reporting abuse, near drowning, respiratory infections, and seizure management
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 30-minute meal break required — no skipped meals
- Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Fit Test required
- CPI and TNCC preferred
- Minimum one year of recent ER experience required
- Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Local candidates are considered; candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- 8-week contract
