Job Description

This Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Assist in managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Support subcontractor buyout, scope review, and contract administration
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and subcontractors to maintain project schedules
  • Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, forecasting, and change orders
  • Help coordinate materials, logistics, and vendor communication
  • Maintain organized project logs and ensure timely communication across teams
  • Support problem-solving efforts to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with safety standards and job site protocols

The Successful Applicant

An ideal Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction with a General Contractor
  • Exposure to hospitality, interiors, retail, or similar project types preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and project workflows
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
